Small Business Administration

The Small Business Administration, or SBA, website provides resources for entrepreneurs. The SBA offers business financing, entrepreneurial training, government contracting/federal procurement and advocacy for small businesses.

The SBA provides information on entrepreneurship and self-employment to military spouses hoping to build portable careers. Learn about starting a small business, loans and grants available for small business owners, independent contracting and government contracting.

Take advantage of the Learning Center, which offers online training, videos and chat sessions covering a wide variety of topics. Find SBA locations — District Offices, SCORE chapters, Small Business Development Centers or Women’s Business Centers. These resources in your local community allow you to meet face-to-face with a representative or attend on-site training. If you have considered starting your own business, you can use this resource to guide you through each step of the journey.

If you have questions about starting a small business, contact a SECO career coach by calling Military OneSource at 800-342-9647 or use the Live Chat feature on the MySECO website.
