Worker Re-Employment

CareerOneStop’s ‘Worker Re-Employment’ section is a one-stop source of information on unemployment, training and financial assistance after a layoff or relocation with your military service member.

A layoff is always stressful, as is leaving a job and losing a source of income for weeks or even months due to a permanent change of station move, particularly with the added costs of relocation. In most states, as a military spouse, you are eligible to receive unemployment benefits when you leave a job due to relocation. You may also qualify for training and additional financial assistance. If you move due to a PCS, your service branch can now help reimburse licensure and certification costs up to $500. Learn more.   • Unemployment benefits, including eligibility, how to apply, how to stay eligible, what to do if you’re denied or if your benefits end
  • Job search information, providing job search tips, job bank information, networking, changing careers and getting more training
  • Benefits and assistance, including health care, housing, food, family support, energy assistance, financial counseling and more
